IT Security Trends - Taking the Secure Path to IT Virtualization

Virtualization has emerged as one of the strongest growing trends in the IT industry. It offers several significant benefits, including cost savings and reduction of the process overhead incurred in deploying and maintaining new components and services.
While organizations in the current economic climate are understandably eager to capitalize on new opportunities for cost savings, virtualization should be approached as a long-term strategic goal for IT management. The benefits it clearly offers need to be weighed together with its implications on security, and compliance to the regulations and industry standards that govern the operations of the organization. When applied to the heart of the enterprise’s data operations – the mainframe – the choices made in applying virtualization technologies become increasingly critical. By ensuring that the appropriate design principles are followed early in the life cycle of the virtualized environment, the maintainability and cost benefits it offers can truly scale with the future opportunities and challenges the enterprise faces.

Product News - New Consulting Services

SSH launched a set of new Consulting Services designed to help enterprise IT managers in evaluating the SSH Tectia products in their IT infrastructure and to assist with the selection, deployment, and management of the appropriate SSH Tectia solution. Five service plans are available through this new service, ranging from SSH Tectia solution evaluation and deployment planning assistance, to ongoing SSH Tectia operations assistance, SSH Tectia training, and customer-specific development of new functionality for SSH Tectia products.
