IT Security Technology: Crypticore Encryption Standardization

Two standardization efforts have been concluded successfully around the Crypticore Encryption algorithm that is an optional high performance software cipher included in SSH Tectia Client and Server products. It is now verified that Crypticore Encryption (a.k.a. Rabbit stream cipher) will be part of this year's amendment of ISO/IEC 18033-4 standard. Also the eCRYPT project included Crypticore Encryption into its final portfolio of recommended stream ciphers.

Product News - New Release for IBM z/OS Platform

On May 19, SSH Communications Security released a major upgrade to the SSH Tectia Mainframe solution, SSH Tectia Server for IBM z/OS.

SSH Tectia Server for IBM z/OS is an advanced, cost-effective secure file transfer solution for IBM mainframe environments. Offering strong encryption and authentication technologies, it allows enterprises to quickly and easily secure file transfers and other data-in-transit across, and between, z/OS, Windows, Unix, and Linux environments.

The new SSH Tectia Server 6.0 for IBM z/OS incorporates the new SSH G3 client architecture for improved performance and scalability. With automatic and transparent FTP-SFTP Conversion, it provides a secure, drop-in replacement for FTP without requiring changes to existing FTP JCL jobs or applications. The new version also includes useful mainframe-specific file transfer commands for easier SFTP migration.
